Join a group of local women who come together weekly to accomplish personal fitness goals. All runstrong running groups are lead by owner and certified running coach JoAnn Meyer. JoAnn succeeds at providing individualized attention to runners of all skill levels in a group setting.
learn to run
Learn to run for 30 minutes without stopping. Your focus as a beginner runner is to slowly and safely build your endurance. We focus on running form, proper warm up, and strengthening key areas of the body to aid in your success as a runner. The beginner plan includes a personalized running schedule. Your goal is to complete a 5K race at the end of the session. Race participation is encouraged.

GET STRONGER! Take your running to the next level with different types of runs – intervals, hill repeats, speed play, and much more. Specific strength training workouts are provided to strengthen key areas of your body to aid in your success as a runner. Your objective is to achieve your personal goals – run stronger, increase your endurance, or just keep running. Check out our list of races for the current session. Race participation is encouraged.

Winter session starts on Saturday, January 4 and runs through Thursday, March 27 (12 weeks)

Tuesday at 5:30 AM: Speed work to improve stamina and pace.
Thursday at 5:30 AM: a bonus run or recovery focused session.
Saturday at 7:00 AM: long(er) runs tailored to your race goals.
PRICING includes: personalized guidance from JoAnn, dynamic warm-up routine, post-run strength training workouts and static stretching routine, 3x weekly group runs, race preparation (strategies and schedule), weekly email communication, access to a private Facebook page, group social events, volunteering opportunities, and connection with like-minded supportive community.
Beginner Runner: $165 (personalized schedule designed to achieve running 30 minutes non-stop)
Already Running: $150 for full access to all sessions. $110 for either Tues and Thursday OR Saturday and Thursday sessions only.
RUNcard: $35 for three group runs (expires end of the session).
Drop In: $15 per run

be-strong group fitness classes
Strength training is an important part of being fit, strong, and healthy. The be-strong classes are a great way to add muscle and tone your body while reaping the many health benefits such as strong bones and a reduced risk of diabetes and heart disease. The focus of this class is on good form, proper lifting techniques, and building a strong, healthy body. Additionally, strength training has been shown to increase athletic performance as well as decrease the risk of injury.
be-strong class via ZOOM: $14 for 60 minute, $12 for 30 minute, and $10 for WYW
In-person class at Penfield Studio: $15 for 60 minutes

I have been successfully helping people feel better, get stronger, and live a healthier life since 2006. In 2005, I earned my ISSA personal trainer certification. In 2008, I earned my first running coach certification and most recently, in June 2013, I added the RRCA running coach certification to my resume. My love for fitness and running has inspired me to share my knowledge. My overall focus is on good form and proper techniques (lifting and running) to help you reach your fitness goals. Even though I grew up in central New Jersey and I will always be a Jersey Girl at heart, my home is in Havertown.
I have been running since middle school when one morning, my mom informed me that I would be trying out for the winter track team. Since that day, I’ve been hooked. Running and healthy living are a big part of my world. I would love to help you reach your goals! Contact me today.
